Clinical and Financial Strategies for the Extended Care Professional

Executive Desk:

Effective Leaders are Effective Managers, Too

Why is it that no one aspires to be a good manager these days? While good leaders are essential for galvanizing people and moving organizations forward, managers are not any less important. Managers have to get things done through others. The manager is supposed to plan, organize, coordinate, and control.

New Addition to PolyMem Family of Dressings from Ferris Mfg. Corp.

-

Ferris Mfg. Corp., creator of PolyMem®, "The Pink Dressing®," announces the addition of a new product to the PolyMem® family of dressings--PolyMax(TM).
PolyMax is a thicker version of PolyMem, a hydrophilic polyurethane membrane with semipermeable thin film backing. PolyMax, which is 60 percent more absorbent than low-profile PolyMem, extends time between dressing changes and reduces the number of necessary dressing changes, very important elements for managing deep, extensive wounds.
The variety of products in the PolyMem, "The Pink Dressing," selection of products is designed to work with the body's wound fluids, which are known to contain natural growth factors and nutrients. All PolyMem products combine superabsorbent elements with moisturizers and cleansers designed to help patients achieve maximum healing capabilities, speeding the healing process and reducing long-term costs.
Ferris Mfg. Co., based in Burr Ridge, Illinois, offers information on all Ferris products via their website, www.FerrisCares.com.
