Clinical and Financial Strategies for the Extended Care Professional

Executive Desk:

Effective Leaders are Effective Managers, Too

Why is it that no one aspires to be a good manager these days? While good leaders are essential for galvanizing people and moving organizations forward, managers are not any less important. Managers have to get things done through others. The manager is supposed to plan, organize, coordinate, and control.

RF Technologies Introduces Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring Solution

-

RF Technologies, a provider of comprehensive and integrated radio frequency identification (RFID) monitoring systems, announces the release of the Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring System. The Freedom Series offers a total solution to facilities looking for basic point-of-exit protection up to comprehensive wanderer monitoring solutions. RF Technologies has created the complete solution for the long-term care and assisted living marketplace.
The new Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring System monitors residents wearing the Code Alert transmitter and provides complete wandering protection at various points of exit, alerting staff members of possible exit attempts. In order to meet the safety and security needs among different size facilities, the Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring solution can be upgraded and expanded with minimal infrastructure cost expenditures, allowing facilities the flexibility they have been looking for.

Features available with the system include a communications center that allows staff to maintain transmitter databases and log events and visitor passcode protection that allows only authorized personnel to move about the monitored area while preventing residents from following behind and exiting.
Other integrated features of the Code Alert Wanderer Monitoring System include complete point-of-exit protection with bypass code protection, remote service capabilities, and pager interface, which allows staff to visually ascertain vital alarm location information.
