Clinical and Financial Strategies for the Extended Care Professional

Executive Desk:

Effective Leaders are Effective Managers, Too

Why is it that no one aspires to be a good manager these days? While good leaders are essential for galvanizing people and moving organizations forward, managers are not any less important. Managers have to get things done through others. The manager is supposed to plan, organize, coordinate, and control.

Sage Unveils New Comfort Personal Cleansing® Warmers

-

Sage Products has introduced completely redesigned electric warming units for easy, consistent preparation of its prepackaged, disposable patient cleansing products. Comfort Personal Cleansing® Warmers are the first to automatically display the individual warming status of every product inside, eliminating confusion and guesswork for clinicians. Each product is warmed to a consistent, reliable temperature. Meanwhile, lighted indicators automatically show which products are ready for use and which ones are not. Red "not ready" indicators designate products that have been in the warmer less than two hours. Within two hours, green "ready" indicators show products that are sufficiently warmed. The new units also promote efficient, first-in/first-out stock rotation. If a product has been in the warmer for an extended period of time, its flashing green "take first" indicator lights up instead.

Comfort Personal Cleansing Warmers are commercial grade, meet UL standards for medical electrical equipment, and are available in 14-count (#7944) and 28-count units (#7945). They keep products at a consistent, reliable temperature, clearly visible on a built-in, digital display. The units are front-loading, and see-through doors make it easy to check stock and warming status even from a distance. The warmers are available to facilities with a committed contract for Comfort Personal Cleansing bath, hair, and/or incontinence care products.
