Sterillium® Rub Enters US Antiseptic Market

BODE Chemie Hamburg in Germany introduces Sterillium® Rub Surgical and Hygienic Hand Antiseptic to the United States with the appointment of Garrett Medical Systems LLC.
Sterillium Rub exceeds current FDA and European requirements for surgical (prEN12791) and hygienic (EN1500) hand antiseptics. Preoperative surgical hand disinfection is completed with a three-minute rub procedure, and hygienic hand disinfection is completed within 30 seconds.
Sterillium Rub is fungicidal, bactericidal, tuberculocidal, and virus inactivating. Sterillium Rub antiseptic delivers greater than 5 log10 steps reduction of S. aureus, C. difficile, M. tuberculosis, E. coli, and over 30 other Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria in 30 seconds. Sterillium Rub effectively reduces coated viruses like herpes simplex 1, influenza, and HIV by a reduction factor greater than four within 15 to 30 seconds. Also, the inactivation of naked viruses like polio (one minute), rhino (two minutes), and adeno (five minutes) to greater than 4.5 log10 steps is outstanding.
