Clinical and Financial Strategies for the Extended Care Professional

Executive Desk:

Effective Leaders are Effective Managers, Too

Why is it that no one aspires to be a good manager these days? While good leaders are essential for galvanizing people and moving organizations forward, managers are not any less important. Managers have to get things done through others. The manager is supposed to plan, organize, coordinate, and control.

Industry and Product News:
Product Designed for Male Incontinence

-

Industry analysts note that 80 percent of incontinence market products are targeted towards the female sector. Finally, an incontinence product manufacturer has addressed the specific incontinent needs of males. First Quality Products introduces a bladder control guard specifically designed to meet the light to moderate incontinence needs of men.
The new Prevail® Male Guard by First Quality is designed to fit the male anatomy. The contoured design guard has an ultra-absorbent core system that quickly absorbs fluid and reduces odors. The guard has soft side leakage barriers that help to prevent leakage and a full-length adhesive strip to hold it securely in the wearer's undergarment. Identified with the First Quality product code PV-811, it is packaged in nine bags of 14 guards each for a full case count of 126.
First Quality has recently showcased the new Prevail Male Guards at the major national fall medical product shows including AHCA (American Health Care Association) in New Orleans, HIDA (Health Industry Distributors Association) in Chicago, and Medtrade in Atlanta.
A full-line manufacturer of disposable incontinence products, First Quality also offers their new innovative Prevail® Fits to a T(TM) product, an expanded protective underwear series, adult briefs, underpads, two-piece systems and disposable washcloths. The company's products are marketed under the Prevail® and First Quality® brand names.
