Clinical and Financial Strategies for the Extended Care Professional

Executive Desk:

Effective Leaders are Effective Managers, Too

Why is it that no one aspires to be a good manager these days? While good leaders are essential for galvanizing people and moving organizations forward, managers are not any less important. Managers have to get things done through others. The manager is supposed to plan, organize, coordinate, and control.

J
eron Electronic Systems’ Provider™ 620 is an Advanced Tone-Visual Nurse Call System for use in nursing homes, retirement facilities, assisted living facilities, hospitals, etc., to display calls for assistance from patients, residents, and staff. The system is microprocessor-controlled and features programmable full English text on an LCD screen. LEDs display all signals simultaneously with separate flashes for four levels of calls: routine, urgent, emergency, and code.
The system can support up to 1,000 Jeron room devices, which includes a variety of callcord, pullcord, and pushbutton stations, plus zone and dome lights. The Provider 620 may be programmed to provide supplementary supervision of door contacts on selected doors, security systems, and smoke detectors.
Incorporate Wireless Pendants into the system as another means of communicating with appropriate staff in an emergency. Press the button and the room number and a message appear at the master console. Jeron also offers resident information software, which provides automatic, real time display of personal medical information for each resident whenever a call is placed on the system.
As an added method to providing top-notch care for residents/patients, Provider 620 has a resident check-in feature allowing staff to monitor the presence and well being of their residents/patients. Transmits calls directly to specific staff members’ pagers to display a patient’s/resident’s room number, bed designator, call type, and time of call.
